You can depict the movement of water for creating exciting sculptures with the help of flash. This type of photographing is not too difficult, but requires some preparation. First of all, you need to set the "right" camera parameters: the file format RAW, manual exposure and focus. In the manual mode put the aperture f / 8, f/11 or f/16, exposure time 1/250, mode for work with flash - x-sync. It is important to use the mode x-sync, as you need to exclude ambient light from the photo: flash should be the only source of light. In addition, it is recommended to shoot in relatively dark room. The next step is the preparation of place.

A camera is mounted on a tripod and is carefully focused (naturally manually) on a drop of water. Since it is difficult to predict the location of drop’s fall, it is better to take a little bit more space in the frame, and the perfect composition you will get later by "cutting" unnecessary in the production process.

As a source of water use a normal shower or stopcock, the main thing is that drops should fall down as often as every one-two seconds. For a better perspective the camera should be set as closely as possible to the surface of the water and make pictures of drops directly against the clear background.
